Sorah Al-Layl ( The Night )

English - Transliteration

Sorah Al-Layl ( The Night ) - Verses Number 21

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ( 1 )

Wallayli itha yaghsha

وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ( 2 )

Wannahari itha tajalla

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ ( 3 )

Wama khalaqa aththakarawal-ontha

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ( 4 )

Inna saAAyakum lashatta

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ ( 5 )

Faamma man aAAta wattaqa

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ( 6 )

Wasaddaqa bilhusna

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ( 7 )

Fasanuyassiruhu lilyusra

وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ ( 8 )

Waamma man bakhila wastaghna

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ( 9 )

Wakaththaba bilhusna

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ( 10 )

Fasanuyassiruhu lilAAusra

وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ ( 11 )

Wama yughnee AAanhu maluhu ithataradda

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ( 12 )

Inna AAalayna lalhuda

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ ( 13 )

Wa-inna lana lal-akhirata wal-oola

فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ ( 14 )

Faanthartukum naran talaththa

لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى ( 15 )

La yaslaha illaal-ashqa

الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ( 16 )

Allathee kaththaba watawalla

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى ( 17 )

Wasayujannabuha al-atqa

الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ( 18 )

Allathee yu/tee malahuyatazakka

وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰ ( 19 )

Wama li-ahadin AAindahu minniAAmatin tujza

إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ ( 20 )

Illa ibtighaa wajhi rabbihial-aAAla

وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ( 21 )

Walasawfa yarda

The Miraculous QuranThe first and second articles are an introduction for the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and make comparison between the Quran’s content and the orientalists’ sayings about it. The third explains that in order for a religion to be true, it must be from God in a total sense and not only in its origin then the scholars distort it. The challenge got into very simple standard i.e. to compile a Surah (Chapter) looks like any of its Surahs but they also failed.
