English - Transliteration

Sorah Al-Humazah ( The Slanderer ) - Verses Number 9

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ ( 1 )

Waylun likulli humazatin lumaza

الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ ( 2 )

Allathee jamaAAa malanwaAAaddadah

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ ( 3 )

Yahsabu anna malahu akhladah

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ ( 4 )

Kalla layunbathanna fee alhutama

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ( 5 )

Wama adraka ma alhutama

نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ ( 6 )

Naru Allahi almooqada

الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ ( 7 )

Allatee tattaliAAu AAalaal-af-ida

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ( 8 )

lnnaha AAalayhim mu/sada

فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ ( 9 )

Fee AAamadin mumaddada

Humility in PrayerIbn Rajab al-Hanbali This is a treatise we have written concerning humility (Khushu') and the hearts meekness and breaking (inkisar) before the Lord.
