Sorah Al-Fil ( The Elephant )

English - Transliteration

Sorah Al-Fil ( The Elephant ) - Verses Number 5

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ ( 1 )

Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka bi-as-habialfeel

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ ( 2 )

Alam yajAAal kaydahum fee tadleel

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ ( 3 )

Waarsala AAalayhim tayran ababeel

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ( 4 )

Tarmeehim bihijaratin minsijjeel

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ ( 5 )

FajaAAalahum kaAAasfin ma/kool

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
