It was said a long time ago: "Make your face happy and your words gentle, and you will be more beloved to the people than those who give them a gift". The first is concerned with good deeds that have specified rewards whose benefits are restricted to whoever performs them only. Examples of such good deeds are: praying sunnahs and performing ‘umrah.
