Sorah Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Verses Number 11

وَالضُّحَىٰ ( 1 )

By the Glorious Morning Light,

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ( 2 )

And by the Night when it is still,-

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ( 3 )

Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.

وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ ( 4 )

And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ ( 5 )

And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ ( 6 )

Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ ( 7 )

And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.

وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ( 8 )

And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.

فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ( 9 )

Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,

وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ( 10 )

Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ( 11 )

But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!

Is Trinity Doctrine Divinely Inspired?The author said in its introduction, "Nothing offends more the Christians than to cast doubt about the doctrine of the Trinity, the fountainhead of their faith. Since I grew up as a Christian, I know by heart that it will surely injure a devout follower of Christianity something he knew as true. Enjoining Good, Forbidding EvilIbn Taymiyyah said: "This (enjoining good and forbidding evil) is a duty that the entire Ummah is obliged to fulfil. It is what the Ulama know as an obligation of collective responsibility, if a group in society undertook to discharge it, the other members of this society are absolved from it. The entire Ummah is commissioned to undertake it, but if a group therein was responsible for discharging it, the rest of society is no longer obliged to undertake it."
